Position: Technology Design Lead

We are seeking passionate, talented, and experienced Technical Design Leads to oversee the technical aspects of projects, providing leadership and expertise in audiovisual, control, and network systems design, integration, installation, and operation. As the Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of technical solutions that meet client requirements and project objectives. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand their vision and translate it into innovative, efficient designs. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will help bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed throughout the project.

What You Have Done

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Theater Technology, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications and advanced degrees are advantageous.

Minimum 10 years of experience in technical design position, preferably in the audiovisual, themed entertainment, or AEC industry.

Expertise in audiovisual, control, and, including digital media systems, show control systems (e.g., Medialon, Alcorn McBride), video and lighting systems, and interactive technologies.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently under pressure.

Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) and related tools.

Knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, V-Ray, Twinmotion , Unreal Engine, Bluebeam.

AVIXA CTS-D, ETCP, BCSII, or Similar Advanced Certifications

Strong understanding of construction documentation and project workflows.

Proven experience in a technical leadership role within the audiovisual or themed entertainment industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful project execution.

Technical Oversight: Lead the technical design and implementation of audiovisual systems, including projection mapping, lighting, sound reinforcement, interactive displays, and show control systems.

Coordinate technical designs across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of audiovisual and architectural elements.

Collaborate with project managers and creative teams to develop technical plans and strategies that align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Coordinate technical resources and subcontractors onsite, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and project success.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, system configurations, installation procedures, and user manuals.

Act as a technical liaison with clients and stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries, providing advisement, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and software advancements related to your work.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies within the organization.
